I must say that I need a vacation from a vacation at this point. We just came back from a Carnival cruise...just a little weekender....a GIRLS ONLY weekender at that! It was fabulous and I don't know that I have ever had so much fun. Our boat ported one day in Nassau and then of course we had a day at sea which was great. Good times! Margo, Wendy, Donna and I have eaten and eaten and eaten and we'll leave it at that!

Tea Time!

WHEW! After all of the planning and organizing, our ladies tea is now a thing of the past. I must say I learned a lot about properly setting a formal table and I also realized why I only pull my fine china out of cabinet a few times per year. All of the tables were beautiful and I loved the floral arrangement that Ms. Posey created for us. It would be dreamy to have her create a new one each week for my kitchen but then again, I don't live in a fairytale!

Super Snow Day!

We don't get these often!!! Gracie and Walker, well....Gracie mostly, enjoyed their snow day. Daddy hooked up our super sled, a.k.a. the blue pool float to the back of the mule and off we went.

Merry Christmas!

Well this holiday flew by. Gracie and Walker had a great time playing with their new gifts from Santa and the season wouldn't have been complete without a Christmas Eve trip to the ER for a few stitches with Santa's "Magic Thread". Thank you Dr. Abell.

Big Pig Jig 2008

We have once again headed out to the infamous Big Pig Jig in Vienna, GA. Yes, there is such a thing. We've have just about had enough piggy for one weekend. All in all it was fun....even though it is rather strange that the same locals tend to win the categories each year. I wonder how that could be. The theme this year was "Hogaween" and that it was. Gracie was a spider and Walker was a...well...he was supposed to be a monkey but his costume fit a little on the snug side. Gracie was of course a big helper in telling Uncle Gump how to prepare the whole hog for competition. Gracie was so exicted to stay at the "show and tell"...otherwise know as a hotel. We stayed at the Lake Blackshear Resort. Super nice and wonderful views. Check out this view from our room window of the lake.

Pumpkin Picking

We are loaded with pumpkins for fall! Gracie and Walker had a great time picking pumpkins at Jaemor's! They now have big ones, little ones, orange ones, black ones......on and on.
